Planet F1 - With his race to the World title reminiscent of Lewis Hamilton's 2007 bid, Jenson Button is confident his outcome will be vastly different to Hamilton's.
Back in 2007, his first year in Formula One, Hamilton held a 17-point lead over Ferrari's Kimi Raikkonen heading into the final two races of the Championship.
But the McLaren driver failed to capitalise on his advantage.
He crashed out in Shanghai and could only manage seventh place at Interlagos after one too many mistakes in the grand prix, leaving Raikkonen free to claim the victory in both events and take the World title by a solitary point.
The 2007 fight bears similarities to this year's campaign as Button leads the title race by 16 points over Red Bull's Sebastian Vettel with two races remaining.
The German has already declared he aims to imitate Raikkonen's success, drawing encouragement from the Finn's achievement 24 months ago.
"Two years ago, Kimi had quite a big gap with two races to go," he said after winning in Japan on Sunday.
"Everyone said to Lewis it will not be a problem, sitting in one of the most competitive cars, just get a couple of points, but you can see sometimes things just don't work your way... Anything is possible."
Button, though, intends putting an end to Vettel's dream, confident he can avoid the mistakes that befell Hamilton back in 2007.
"I won't blow it like Lewis Hamilton... Over the last two races I haven't lost any points to Rubens, which is good", the Brawn GP driver said.
