CALGARY HERALD - Lewis Hamilton said he was still in love with former girlfriend and fiancee Nicole Scherzinger, former singer with Pussycat Dolls, and hoped it was possible to repair their broken relationship in the future.
Talking to reporters ahead of today's season-ending Brazilian Grand Prix, he said his current serene state of mind stemmed partially from reconciliatory meetings with her.
The singer gave him a diamond-encrusted rosary which he was wearing when he arrived in the paddock.
"For me, this feels almost like the first race of the season again - or at least this is the beginning of what's to come for me now," he said.
He said their meetings in the United States had been good for him.
"We had a couple of really nice lunches together and that day we had a really nice dinner...
It is still very early days. We still have very, very strong feelings for each other and I still love her very much."
